Life is all about doing what you enjoy, so come aboard

Like Minded People

Safe and familiar environment to meet new people

We know the value of bringing together people with similar interests and want to create an educational, happy, healthy and social environment for anyone who wants to do more but struggles due to funding

Chrissie’s Day Out was set up to help people with learning difficulties get the most out of life. We wanted to help provide a safe and fun environment where adults can experience fun activities, whilst making new friends and meeting old ones.

Chrissie’s Day Out

See how it was!

Dance Class at Pineapple Studios and Ten Pin Bowling in Eastbourne.

Chrissie was joined by family and friends to mark the first of many events. As it was just before Christmas we kept the festive theme running through the event and there were many fun times had by all. Most recently, we organised a dance class at the prestigious Pineapple Studios. An incredible session with some very talented people.

The following quotes might just change your thinking and challenge the way you perceive disability.

  • Stephen Hawking

"Concentrate on things your disability doesn't prevent you doing well, and don't regret the things it interferes with. Don't be disabled in spirit as well as physically."

  • Scott Hamilton

"The only disability in life is a bad attitude."

  • Robert M Hensel

"No disability or dictionary out there, is capable of clearly defining who we are as a person."

  • Robert M Hensel

    "I don't have a dis-ability, I have a different-ability."

  • World Down Syndrome Awareness Month

"The difference with ordinary and extraordinary is just that little "extra""

  • Anne Strike

"When you have a disability, knowing you are not defined by it is the sweetest feeling."

Chrissie is the life and soul of any day I have the privilege of spending with him. He lights up every room and always puts a big grin on my face. He’s the reason we started Chrissie’s Day Out. We want to enhance the lives of people with Down’s Syndrome and work towards a world of inclusivity for all.
